In the latest TV show ratings, NBC’s The Voice claimed the Tuesday demo win while CBS’ FBI squeaked by with the night’s biggest audience.
The Voice this Tuesday drew 6.3 million total viewers and a 0.8 rating (read recap), dipping week-to-week. Leading out of that, La Brea (5 mil/0.6, read recap) was steady and New Amsterdam (3.3 mil/0.4) ticked up.
Over on CBS, FBI (6.4 mil/0.7) and FBI: Most Wanted (5.4 mil/0.6) both rose in the demo, while FBI: International (5.4 mil/0.5) was steady.
Elsewhere:
FOX | The Resident (2.9 mil/0.4) hit and tied series lows; Our Kind of People posted its fourth straight 0.3 rating (while drawing 1.3 mil).
THE CW | Stargirl (570K/0.1) added viewers but Supergirl (380K/0.1) slipped to an all-time audience low.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. If Happy Fun Ball begins to smoke, get away immediately; seek shelter and cover head.
What are the current odds of La Brea making it to a second season?!
If it keeps up like this most definitely will be renewed
Right at this moment Id say 70 percent. For the entire season I would say 50/50. But Id say the odds are good enough that NBC may just announce it anyday and take the lower ratings if it drops. Its a hit show by todays standards.
You forget: it’s NBC.
I would worry about this show lasting long enough for us to learn the answer to the big mystery — but IS there really a mystery? It’s a timehole, the end.
the demo is decent, they might extend the season unless it is already filmed(doing it in Australia must be cray).
It’s hard to say without knowing its on demand, streaming, and international numbers as well as what kinds of tax credits and subsidies it is getting to film in Australia. We know that the Neilsen live broadcast numbers could never support all but the cheapest-to-produce programming. The network and the studio (corporate siblings) have multiple revenue sources beyond live broadcast ads.
I haven’t watched “The Resident” since I learned that you-know-what would be happening to you-know-who. I’m not invested enough in the show to want to deal with that during my limited entertainment hours.
Right?I watch tv to escape reality for a week. Not be hit over the head with sadness. Too many shows have done that storyline. What happened to a character being written off and NOT dying?
Things are going to start changing as of this week with a small twist in the plot and continuing after the World Series.
Did anyone watch “Chucky”?
I loved it! I thought it was interesting and can’t wait until the next episode.
Supergirl.
Embarrassing numbers.
Embarrassing show.
The death of Nic was overdone, especially since the actor’s departure had been announced in advance. Hard to feel empathy for a cast member who had already left. No wonder the numbers were down. Who really cared by then.
They could have had Nic be a stay at home mom like Emily decided. I am tired of them killing off characters and leaving their kids motherless. It’s depressing. They should take a lesson from ER On how to NOT kill off someone who wants to leave and ruin a couple.
That storyline will be done after this week’s episode.
I think I’m the only one who won’t miss Emily Van Camp on The Resident. The show can continue without her and might even be better! People just have to give it a chance. I have loved her on every other show she’s been on, but didn’t love her on The Resident so I won’t really miss her character. I did like her final episode, though (even though it wasn’t really her playing the character). I liked the organ donation aspect of the episode.
My interest in The Resident waned when Mina left, now with Nic out too it is just not the same. I took the show off my DVR this week.
I know many The Resident fans you left with Nic. And just as many who have stayed so it could go either way, though apparently next will change everything so…
Mina and Nic were the two central female leads, and while I could see the show without one of them, losing both so close together makes it harder to hang in. Haven’t given up yet, but I think I’d be okay with this being the last season.
What’s the odds of our kind of people being cancelled? Prodical son was so much better.
Time to end Dancing with the Stars. Put a for in it already
I’m sure it had nothing to do with customers losing CBS in some areas.
Considering I didn’t even know Supergirl was still on that could be why some of these shows have lower ratings
Losing Mina and Nic has been hard, but I’m hoping the writers can persevere and keep The Resident going. They have an impressive ensemble of actors ready and able to handle compelling and entertaining storylines. Just please sprinkle in a bit of light, hopeful and uplifting stories as well. It has been quite intense these past few seasons.
Super Girl is and FBI and FBI International
Is my favor and best show I love
So sick of DWTS which in my estimation, has no stars. After all these years, it’s very boring. I just can’t stand reality TV.
