Adele Announced Her Upcoming Album Release With a Heartfelt Note

"I've learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way."

Adele's next album has a release date — and the singer is opening up about what inspired her latest music in a heartfelt note.

In posts shared to her social media Wednesday, the singer shared that her album, 30, will be released Nov. 19, and wrote about why she's "finally ready to put this album out."

"I was certainly nowhere near where I'd hoped to be when I first started it nearly 3 years ago," she said about turning 30. "Quite the opposite really. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe. I always have. And yet there I was knowingly — willingly even, throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil."

Adele, who has named each of her albums after the age she was when they were written — 19, 21, and 25 — went on to say, "I've learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way."

She called the upcoming album her "ride or die" throughout "the most turbulent period of my life" and likened it to the "friend who came over with a bottle of wine and a takeaway to cheer me up."

"I've painstakingly rebuilt my house and my heart since then and this album narrates it," she wrote. "Home is where the heart is x."

Last week, Adele shared a teaser of her single "Easy On Me," and sampled part of the song during an Instagram Live for fans.

When asked what the album would be about during the Live session, Adele said, "Divorce, babe. Divorce." She added, "Writing my music has been really therapeutic, for sure."
