For the first time in more than 18 months, Broadway returns to Milwaukee.
It's been nearly two years since the coronavirus pandemic forced theaters to shut down here and across the country.
"Hamilton" opens Wednesday night at the Marcus Performing Arts Center.
The theater reopens with some COVID-19 safety precautions to keep in mind.
All patrons must show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test up to three hours prior to curtain. Each guest will get a wristband to return closer to showtime.
Masks are also required the whole time unless you are eating or drinking.
The Marcus Center closed after its last show "The Lion King" on March 1, 2020. Since then, the president and CEO, Kendra Whitlock Ingram, says the theater lost up to 80% of its revenue.
Whitlock says she expects the theater to be at full capacity most nights throughout the run of their first show back.
"Hamilton" runs through Oct. 24.
Limited tickets are still available. For more information, visit the Marcus Center's website here.
