STREETSBORO, Ohio — A man in his 30s was hospitalized with traumatic injuries after he was involved in a two-car crash on State Route 14 and Price Road in Streetsboro, according to the Streetsboro Fire Department.

Just before 7 a.m., fire and police personnel responded to State Route 14 for a two-vehicle crash.

One of the vehicles involved had major damage and the driver of that vehicle, identified as a man in his 30s, was trapped inside the car.

It took fire crews 30 minutes to extricate the driver from the vehicle. After he was removed, he was transported to Akron City Hospital with multiple traumatic injuries, the fire department said.

The crash closed State Route 14 in both directions. The scene was eventually cleared after 8 a.m.

A total of nine Streetsboro fire personnel and numerous officers from the police department were at the scene.

The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.
