Eugene native Brent Primus will be competing on the main card of Bellator 268 on Saturday, Oct. 16.
Primus is facing former champion and No. 3 lightweight fighter Benson Henderson.
Primus is 10-2 in his professional career, but he's coming off a loss to Islam Mamedov by split decision in July.
That is one of the factors that will motivate him this weekend, but there's more that fuels Primus' fire.
"I'm such a competitor," Primus says. "I hate to lose. I make everything into a competition no matter what. Everything's a competition to me. Even if it's not, I make it in my head. So I love to compete and I love to challenge myself and I have my kids watching me and I want to show them that you can do anything and anything's possible and I'm ready, man. I love to challenge myself. I'm excited, for sure."
Saturday’s card airs on Showtime at 10 p.m. PT.
