DogTime Visited C.A.R.E.’s Strut For Strays 2021! [CUTE PICTURES]

We all love taking our dogs for walks, but it’s even better when we can do it for a good cause. That’s why we were so happy to visit Community Animal Rescue Effort’s (C.A.R.E.) Strut for Strays, a 2.5 mile walk through the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park in Illinois.

DogTime attended the event in 2019, and we were looking forward to walking with C.A.R.E. again in 2020, but the pandemic had other plans. Although if anything, it made us only more excited to go this year and see all the pups again!

We saw a few familiar, furry faces this year, as well as some new pooches! There was Stretch, the long dog in pajamas. Then there was Spice, the adorable, smiley Shih Tzu. And, of course, there was Bear, the adoptable puppy who went at his own pace and brought up the rear.

Check out all the adorable pictures from the event, and spread the word about this amazing fundraiser to help homeless animals.

The Strut For Strays Was A Big Success!

This year’s Strut started at McGrath Evanston Subaru who generously hosted the event where pups mingled to music with their moms and dads and picked up fun swag bags.

Many of the pooches who attended found their forever homes through C.A.R.E., so they were happy to pay it forward and help other dogs get adopted.

For dogs and dog parents who couldn’t attend in person, the Strut also went virtual! As a hybrid event, anybody could participate.

C.A.R.E. set an ambitious goal to raise $20,000 through this fundraiser in 2021, and with the help of generous donors and plenty of great sponsors, the event exceeded that goal!

Speaking of sponsors, visit C.A.R.E.’s website to see all the businesses that supported the annual Strut For Strays. If you make it out to Illinois, show them some love and support them!

You Can Support C.A.R.E. Too!

Even if you didn’t make it out to this year’s Strut For Strays, you can still support C.A.R.E.’s mission in a lot of different ways.

C.A.R.E. relies on donations from supporters. You can donate through their website from anywhere and help homeless animals find their forever families.

The organization also relies on volunteers to care for their animals, do community outreach and education, and plan events. Consider volunteering if you live in the area.

And, of course, C.A.R.E. always needs foster pet parents and adopters. So if you have room in your home and heart, consider giving a loving animal a home!

Thank you to C.A.R.E. for letting us at DogTime join in on this very special event. We had so much fun and can’t wait for next year!

Are you happy that C.A.R.E. reached their fundraising goal with their Strut For Strays this year? How cute are all the dogs who helped their moms and dads raise money for the event? Let us know in the comments below!
