Georgia Webster Celebrates One-Year Anniversary of “Tell Your Mom” With New Music Video

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sony Music Nashville/River House Artists rising star Georgia Webster released the official music video for her song “Tell Your Mom” on Saturday to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the track. Watch here.

Georgia initially shared “Tell Your Mom” on TikTok last year as her very first post on the platform. It quickly racked up 2.7 million views and was officially released to digital music platforms on October 9th, 2020.

Georgia stars in the comical “Tell Your Mom” music video, directed by Emma Kate Golden and produced by Taylor Rasnick. The video depicts the mom of an ex-boyfriend who can’t seem to get over the girl her son used to date, who is played by Georgia. Despite trying to politely distance herself from the ex’s mom, Georgia’s character “runs into her” various places around town.

“This is my favorite video so far,” said Georgia. “I really wanted to exaggerate the mom character to make it fun and crazy. It was a blast and getting to film in a grocery store and laundry mat while they were open was definitely the highlight.”

“Tell Your Mom” is one of five songs from Georgia’s debut EP, First Goodbye, which she released this summer. She wrote each song on the project herself. First Goodbye garnered critical praise, with People deeming it “a treasure of an album” and Sweety High noting that it “brings us back to Taylor Swift’s country days.” Listen to First Goodbye HERE.
