Bernie Taylor made her exit from Walford in Friday's (October 8) edition of EastEnders.
But Bernie, who is played by Clair Norris, will be returning to Albert Square in the near future.
Meanwhile, as Bernie is staying with her brother Keanu for a while, Clair has been busy at work on other ventures.
On her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (October 12), Clair revealed that she'd been filming an unknown project.
Sharing a clip of herself pulling down a face mask and smiling, Clair wrote: "Filming for job 2 finished!" while also tagging her management company.
Speaking about Bernie's decision to leave Walford for a while, Clair explained that things were becoming overwhelming for the teen, who is currently carrying a baby for Rainie (Tanya Franks) and Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ).
"Everything is overwhelming for Bernie at this point," Clair said. "Her concerns of staying pregnant are still a massive focus for her as well, as is the stress of still thinking that Rainie is lying about using again.
"Also the pressure from her family knowing she could be carrying a baby for a drug addict becomes too much. She thinks they are thinking: 'I told you so'."
Confirming Bernie will definitely be back, Clair added: "I think that Bernie is overwhelmed with everything and definitely needs some time away to clear her head.
"She needs a break. I think it will do her good to get away and take care of herself and the baby for a bit. That's her number one priority.
"We know Bernie will be returning to Walford, but who knows what she will be coming back to? She knows how much this is going to hurt Stuart and Rainie, but Bernie is determined to put the baby first."
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
