Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was very entertained by the Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder trilogy fight, which took place last Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Fury retained the WBC heavyweight title when he knocked Wilder out in the eleventh round.

Wilder went down in rounds three, ten and eleven. Fury was dropped twice in the fourth.

Tyson was also impressed with Wilder's new head trainer, retired heavyweight contender Malik Scott.

"Fury vs Wilder fight will go down as one of [the] greatest. Not for skill but for action and excitement. That fight was all guts, heart and determination. Everybody won Saturday night. The fight was bigger than the hype. Both of them reached all time great status," Tyson stated.

"Wilder’s coach Malik Scott won the night with great coaching. When you are an amateur you have a coach, they nurture you, guide you and are with you every step of the way. Once you turn pro you get a trainer. A trainer is in your life as long as the checks are coming... A coach is with you for the rest of your life. A coach feels every punch you take and give too."

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, during the action Wilder suffered an injury to his right hand. He is going to have surgery next week.

Wilder's return is being position for mid-2022.

As far as Fury, he is potentially going to face the victor of the upcoming heavyweight bout between Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin, which takes place on October 30. The World Boxing Council is expected to order him to fight the winner of that contest.
