Listen up, ya filthy animals! Today, Disney+ released the first trailer for Home Sweet Home Alone, 20th Century Studios’ reboot of the beloved Home Alone franchise (which memorably kicked off with the original 1990 film).

Replacing original star Macaulay Culkin is Jojo Rabbit star Archie Yates; he stars here as Max Mercer, a mischievous and resourceful young boy who has been left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays. When a married couple (Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney) attempting to retrieve a priceless heirloom set their sights on the Mercer family’s house, it’s up to Max to protect it from trespassers.

The film also stars Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes, Devin Ratray, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell. Home Sweet Home Alone is written by Saturday Night Live‘s Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell and based on John Hughes’ original Home Alone screenplay. Borat co-writer Dan Mazer is the director, with Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson serving as producers and Jeremiah Samuels serving as executive producer.

Home Sweet Home Alone marks the first in a series of revival Disney has planned post-Fox merger. Reboots of other popular Fox properties like Cheaper By the Dozen, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Night at the Museum are also currently in the works at Disney+.

It’s currently unclear if Home Sweet Home Alone takes place in the larger Home Alone universe, but viewers can also look forward to seeing original Home Alone star Devin Ratray (who played Kevin McCallister’s brother Buzz) show up at some point.

Home Sweet Home Alone premieres exclusively on Disney+ on Nov. 12. Scroll up to watch the official trailer.
