Stop & Shop introduces 30-minute delivery across Northeast

Stop & Shop and Instacart will begin offering 30-minute delivery throughout the Northeast under the name Stop & Shop Express, the retailer announced Oct. 12.

Customers will receive $20 off their $30 order beginning Oct. 19 with the code Save20on30VC through Nov. 10. Stop & Shop Express can be utilized seven days a week during the store’s open hours, as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 12 a.m., depending on location. Customers must adhere to a $10 minimum bill and must pay a $2.99 delivery fee.

“With Stop & Shop Express, not only will we continue to be there for our customers with our great selection of grocery items, but we can be there for them in as fast as 30 minutes,” said Stop & Shop President Gordon Reid in a prepared statement. “Our customers’ lives are busier than ever, and this service will help make things easier for them.”

Stop & Shop first partnered with Instacart in 2017 to offer customers same-day delivery at a handful of stores. The grocer expanded its availability on Instacart to 321 locations in July 2020, making same-day delivery accessible from more than 75% of its stores.
