Chuck Liddell And Wife Fought After Leaving Party, Neither Had Injuries Following Domestic Incident
Although Chuck Liddell was the one booked into jail for domestic battery the other night, he was not the only one cited by police who arrived on the scene. His wife Heidi was also cited over the incident.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources told the outlet that both were cited because they could not figure out who the aggressor was. Sources claim the couple was at a party before they returned home and that is where the altercation started.
Although it reportedly started as an argument, it allegedly turned physical, although there were reportedly no injuries on either Liddell or his wife.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the police were originally called to Lindell’s house over a report of a “family disturbance.” According to the officials, Liddell was “arrested for domestic battery” after the sheriff's department claimed that Liddell and his wife had gotten into a "physical altercation.”
Although Liddell was booked into a Los Angeles police station, he reportedly quickly paid the $20,000 bond and left the station in a good mood. He then took to Instagram hours after his release to offer his side of the story, and to claim he was actually the victim of the altercation.
"Last night, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department deputies who responded were professional," Liddell wrote on social media. "While the information about this case will be revealed in due course, I believe it is important to convey and clarify a few facts about the situation."
"I was the victim of the incident last night at our family home, as details of the case will reveal," the former UFC fighter continued. "The deputies informed me that my wife would be arrested, as I did not respond to her assault while I sustained bruising and lacerations. I volunteered to go in her place."
"This was one of the many times I have tried to shield a family mental health issue from the public purview," he explained. "It has become painfully apparent that this cannot continue, as our private life has now reached a public breaking point. Please respect our privacy as I help to navigate our family through this difficult time."
His wife Heidi told OK! Magazine: "No comment."
