In its inaugural season ESPN's forecasting model said the Kraken have a 45 percent chance of making the playoffs, a three percent at making the Stanley Cup Final and a one percent shot at winning the championship.
Considering this is a new franchise that mark is impressive. The Kraken are predicted to finish better than 12 other NHL teams, placing them squarely in the middle of the pack in the league.

Not too shabby for a first season.
