Welcome back to The View, S.E. Cupp! The prior guest of the talk show returns today, filling in for former conservative co-host Meghan McCain. She’ll join Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Joy Behar at the table to discuss this week’s hot topics from a Republican point of view. After last week’s guest, Alyssa Farah, upset viewers for being a Trump staffer, can we expect the same this week? Or is Cupp a Republican against Trump? We have everything you need to know before you meet Cupp on The View today.

Cupp joined the panel back in 2018, stirring the pot after dissing Stormy Daniels as she compared her to Monica Lewinsky. The tensions were so high, in fact, that Daniels canceled her upcoming visit to The View at the time thanks solely to Cupp’s bitter remarks.

So, does drama follow Cupp wherever she goes, or was that a one-time-only deal? Here’s what we know about this week’s guest host of The View.

Who is S.E. Cupp, the new guest co-host of The View?

S.E. Cupp is a political commentator known for her work on HLN, CNN’s Crossfire, TheBlaze’s Real News, MSNBC’s The Cycle, Fox News’ Red Eye w/Greg Gutfeld, and Real Time with Bill Maher. She’s also written for publications like The Washington Post, New York Daily News, The American Spectator, Townhall, Newsmax, and more.

But most importantly? S.E. Cupp is one of Meghan McCain’s best friends. In the past, the commentator has opened up about McCain’s role on The View.

As for political stances, Cupp identifies as a Log Cabin Republican — meaning she’s a Republican that advocates for the rights of LGBT+ Americans. She was open about voting for Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Is S.E. Cupp the permanent replacement for Meghan McCain?

Not that we know of, though she could be. That’s because The View has yet to announce the permanent replacement for McCain. They’re “taking a little time” to find the official hosts. In the meantime, we’re getting guest co-hosts like Carly Fiorina, Caitlyn Jenner, and Cindy McCain.

How long will S.E. Cupp be a co-host on The View?

Cupp will be co-hosting The View for just two days this week, beginning today and continuing into tomorrow’s (Oct. 13) episode. It’s a quick stint, so don’t miss her!

Who else is guest co-hosting The View this week? The View Season 25 guest host schedule:

Cupp isn’t the only guest host on the schedule. As of yesterday’s (Oct. 11) The View, former co-host Sherri Shepherd is set to guest host this entire week.

We don’t know next week’s guest co-host quite yet! So far, we know that Condoleezza Rice, Eboni K. Williams, Cameran Eubanks and Gretchen Carlson are on the roster for the weeks to come. This week’s Flashback Friday guest is also TBA at the moment. Stay tuned for more info.
