Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has revealed the full details of Harvey Gaskell's revenge plot ahead of his dramatic escape next week, with Leanne Battersby set to be put in serious danger.

In scenes that will air as part of the spectacular Super Soap Week, jailed criminal Harvey (Will Mellor) deliberately injures himself in prison and demands that he be taken to the hospital for treatment.

Later on, as an enormous storm hits, the prison van carrying Harvey is driving along the same lane in which Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), Aadi (Adam Hussain) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) are sitting in their stationary car, lost on the way to their holiday destination and with a fallen tree blocking their way on the country road.

When a guard on the prison van pulls a knife, the van swerves and hits the Alahans' car, causing serious damage. Harvey, meanwhile, pulls himself from the van out into the torrential rain and prepares to make his escape.

It isn't long before Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) arrives at the scene of the crash, but Harvey attacks him and steals his pick-up truck, driving away from the scene – and leaving the Alahans in danger in their damaged car.

Later on, Harvey makes it back to the Street and tracks down Leanne (Jane Danson), who is dressed as The Addams Family's Morticia for the Halloween House of Horrors event. Terrified Leanne soon finds herself face-to-face with Harvey and he wastes no time in trapping her in the Bistro.

When Leanne tries to escape from him, Harvey gags her and binds her hands together with gaffer tape, putting her in a vulnerable position.

Harvey is intent on murder and, as Leanne tries to make a break for it, he gives chase. Suddenly, the ground opens up as the damage from the sinkhole spreads.

But who has fallen into the water below, and will Harvey live to carry out his revenge?

Leanne's sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is also in danger from Harvey after he vowed to get back at her for her role in compromising his appeal – but whether Toyah will be mixed up in Harvey's plan remains to be seen.

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 18, Wednesday, October 20 and Friday, October 22 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
