Will you be happy after buying a 2022 Subaru Forester, Outback, or Crosstrek? A new report says the Subaru brand scores high with customers. See where they rank with other automakers.

In a challenging year when there’s more bad news than good, Subaru is doing exceedingly well in giving its customers shopping for a 2022 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, or Ascent SUVs a positive experience. A new report from Reputation Inc. says Subaru of America is one of the top five non-luxury auto brands in the U.S. rankings. Reputation Inc. working with YouGov analyzes customer sentiment across the entire auto industry in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

Subaru scored the number two mainstream (non-luxury) car brand in the U.S. in the Reputation 2021 Automotive Report rankings. The top five brands are Nissan, followed by Subaru, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Toyota.

The study reveals Subaru is succeeding not just in selling more Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and Ascent SUVs but in keeping customers happy during and after the sale. In last year’s study, Subaru ranked the number one mainstream brand overall.

How is Subaru doing during a challenging year with the COVID pandemic and microchip shortages? Subaru delivers a positive resale online digital experience and good customer service during and after the sale. Subaru is also managing the inventory shortage well and not overpricing its new Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and other models.

Subaru scores high in two other studies

In the most recent Consumer Reports “The Most and Least Liked Car Brands” study, Subaru outscored its Japanese rivals, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Mazda. The study says Subaru drivers are still happy with their car after living with it for three years.

In another recent study which is revealing, Subaru scored the best of any automaker in the 2021 J.D. Power Brand Loyalty Study. More customers will buy another Subaru when they are ready to purchase another car again, returning at a 61.8 percent rate. That’s the highest among all automakers beating rivals Toyota (61.1%), and Honda (59.3%), and even luxury brand Lexus (51.6%).

Are Subaru consumers happy with their Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and other new all-wheel-drive models and their buying experience? Owners say their all-wheel-drive vehicles and Subaru live up to expectations in a challenging year.
