Images of Woods emerged on social media on Saturday evening with the former World No.1 watching his son Charlie.

According to TMZ Sports, a witness said: "Tiger, who is still wearing a sleeve on his surgically repaired right leg, was in great spirits, alternating between walking holes and riding around in a golf cart for others."

The report adds: "We're told Tiger was speaking with fans throughout the tournament, thanking them for encouraging words while he was following Charlie around the track."

Woods was expected to make it to the Ryder Cup in some capacity but he couldn't get there as physically he wasn't quite in the right place.

He kept in contact with his United States team mates and even texted them on the Saturday evening: "Step on their necks".

The United States won 19-9 against Team Europe in the largest Ryder Cup victory of the modern era.
