As part of v18.20 during Fortnite: Season 8, Epic has updated how their skin refunds work so that Return Requests now refresh.

While players could previously request refunds on skins, they only had three at maximum before they couldn’t claim any more at all. With this new system, players will get one new request per year.

Here’s how the new Return Requests system works in Fortnite, as well as how you can request a skin refund.

Where To Submit A Return Request

To submit a Return Request in Fortnite, go to your settings and then Account & Privacy and Return Requests.

From there, you can then select whatever cosmetic you want to return that is valid, give a reason, and then submit. You should then be refunded your V-Bucks and then a Return Ticket will be used.

Fortnite Return Requests FAQ

How long do I have before I can return my item?
You only have 30 days to return anything that was purchased in the Item Shop.

Can I return my Battle Pass?
No, only items that you bought within the Item Shop in the last 30 days are eligible.

How do I get more Return Requests?
You will get one Return Request per year. If you use three Return Requests right now, you will get one back in 2022, one in 2023, and then the final one in 2024 on the same date. So, if you use one today (October 12th, 2021), you will get it back on October 12th, 2022.

It’s not perfect, but it’s better than never getting a refund again.

Can I get real money back?
No, you can only get V-Bucks back.

Why can’t I return my cosmetics?
You were either gifted them, bought them with real money, or the 30 days have expired.
