The infant, Myla Rushman from Ambridge, Pennsylvania, passed away at a hospital on Saturday.
Police were reportedly called to a residence in September for an unresponsive baby who was not breathing.
Authorities were told the baby somehow got into a bag of heroin and was probably overdosing. The baby was then given two doses of naloxone and CPR was started.
The infant was then flown to Children's Hospital.
The mother of the baby, Melissa Miller, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.
