Dermot O’Leary and Clara Amfo paid a visit to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Kensington home this weekend.

In a clip shared on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Instagram page, the presenter duo can be seen walking up the steps to a grand, glossy black front door.

Radio DJ and presenter Clara Amfo rings the doorbell, before the door is opened by Prince William himself. The Duke of Cambridge then invites the pair indoors saying, “Hello, shall we?” and then adding, “anyone for a cup of tea?” as Clara and Dermot join him inside.

The clip offered a rare insight into the décor of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s London residence, which was once home to Princess Margaret.

As the Duke opens the door, a glimpse of a traditional gold and glass light fixture can be seen, with candle style bulbs inside.

There is also panelling on the walls painted in a warm, neutral tone and a decorative mirror. The large feature mirror is directly ahead of the double door entrance with a detailed gold frame.

Dermot O’Leary and Clara Amfo were paying a visit to the royal household as part of the Earthshot Prize project, a new environmental award fronted by Prince William.

The duo will be hosting the first awards show and revealed that there would be musical appearances from big names including Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes.
