Final Fantasy VIII Remastered How to Use Cheats

Recommended Videos

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered boasts a long and rewarding journey for any player to take their time venturing through and has recently been added to the PlayStation Now collection this month. Fans have been starting to play through the 1999 classic once again and return to the place they once called home. You may be wondering if there are any new features for Final Fantasy VIII Remastered and this guide will take you over how to use ‘cheats’ in Final Fantasy VIII Remastered.

How to Use the Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Cheats

There are three developer made cheats in total to use in the remastered version of Final Fantasy VIII. Pressing the Right stick (R3) will allow you to max your HP and ATB gauge in battle which basically means you become invincible during any fight.

On the other hand, pressing the left stick (L3) will allow you to speed up the game by three times (3x) and navigate the world or finish intense battles even quicker. Pressing both sticks at the same time (L3+R3) will allow you to turn off random encounters for the party.

It should be noted that cheats can be used altogether or a mix and match of all of them, even only using one at a time. You can use them at any point during the game. The only time when the 3x cheat will not work is when in cutscenes or essential dialogue.

How to Pick Up The Title Through PlayStation Now

As aforementioned, the game is available for free to download or stream right now on PlayStation Now. In order to get your copy, firstly make sure you are subscribed to the PS Now service then head to the corresponding app in your library.

Once in the PlayStation Now app, you will be met with the list of this month’s featured games, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will be on that list. Go into it and download or stream the game; you are now set to experience this classic title in its remastered style!

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC.
