Call of Duty: Vanguard Campaign Details Revealed

Sledgehammer Games has revealed more details about Call of Duty: Vanguards' single-player campaign. The campaign will feature five playable characters, Richard Webb, as well as playable characters Arthur Kingsley, Polina Petrova, Lucas Riggs, Wade Jackson who form an international squad toward the end of World War II to completely wipe out the Axis threat before they can escape with a path toward resurgence.

These Operators represent just a third of the 12 playable characters available at launch within the game’s multiplayer modes. A new trailer for the campaign has also been revealed, which you can check out below.

"The game begins at its climax: as a newly recruited Operator within the budding Task Force One, you are en route to a heavily fortified U-boat facility," reads a post from Sledgehammer on its blog. "There, you must infiltrate the complex and obtain vital Axis military intelligence — stemming from something code-named Project Phoenix — before it is smuggled out of Germany."

Sledgehammer revealed how the campaign will focus on the formation of Task Force One as well as focus on the international “Special Forces” with players experiencing WW2 from the perspectives of multiple members of the team.

Call of Duty: Vanguard releases on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles on November 5, 2021. IGN India recently recently checked out the game's Closed and Open Betas on PS5, where we had mixed feelings about how this year's CoD is shaping up to be.
