The San Francisco Giants are now up 2-1 after Monday night's win in game three of the National League Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

As the epic rivalry gets a little more heated, the Van Anne family is living in a house divided until the series is over.

Celeste and Brian Van Anne began dating after meeting at a Christmas party in December of 2003.

Things got serious between the two, and by spring, baseball season was just gearing up.

Brian, who's a lifelong Giants fan, said that’s when he learned that Celeste came from a family of Dodgers fans.

"Wait what? You’re a what?," said Brian, "You're a Dodger fan? How is this going to work?”

But the couple worked it out, setting aside their differences and getting married in June of 2005.

"It was supposed to be the happiest day of my life," joked Celeste.

But Brian's groomsmen brought the rivalry to the reception.

"At the time for the speeches, they threw off their stuff like superman and showed their Giants jersey's and the crowd went crazy," said Brian, "And I didn’t know this but her side, her bridesmaids, they all had Dodgers visors made and they all threw those on and we had a whole chant going back-and-forth.”

"I was ready for the shenanigans, I knew something was gonna happen," said Celeste.

The couple even has opposing his-and-hers jerseys, an appropriate wedding gift, with the number 05 for the year they got married.

And now the couple's kids have had to make a decision.

"Unfortunately, they’ve gone to the dark side," said Celeste, "That's failed parenting on my part."

“I think it’s excellent parenting on my part," joked Brian.

But this season is still up in the air.

"Well so far so good," said Celeste.

"Yeah, you know, we go back-and-forth all season with Giant-Dodger games so it’s always a bit of a rivalry but it’s in good nature," said Brian, "Her birthday was on Saturday so I figured out a way for the Dodgers to win for her birthday so we’ll go with that.”

We still have at least one game left in the series and Celeste had tips for other couples in the same boat.

"Date nights, just not at sports bars," said Celeste, "Just take it one baseball season at a time, and never go to bed wearing orange or blue.”

The Giants play the Dodgers in LA on Tuesday at 6:07 p.m. for game 4 of the series.
