1 person in critical condition following accident with Amtrak train

Greensboro, N.C. — Greensboro Police say they're investigating a public accident involving an Amtrak train and a pedestrian.

They say it happened at 11:50 a. m. on Oakland Avenue at the Norfolk Southern Pomona Yard.

EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where they were last listed in critical condition.

No one on the train was injured.

Amtrak’s Police Department, and Norfolk Southern’s Police Department are also assisting with the case.
