Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has shared a chilling new trailer ahead of ITV's Super Soap Week, giving fans a first look at the dramatic episodes due to hit television screens next week.

In the new teaser, drug lord Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) is seen emerging from the side of an overturned prison van in the pouring rain while Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) dons a wolf mask to torment a traumatised Nina (Mollie Gallagher).

Corrie bosses previously confirmed Harvey will escape from a prison van during ITV's Super Soap Week. Having recently had his appeal compromised by Toyah (Georgia Taylor), Harvey vows to take revenge on the Battersby sisters.

As the tension builds, the promo also sees Abi (Sally Carman) confront Corey in the spooky house of horrors before the pair are shown trapped down a drain shaft as an anxious Roy (David Neilson) watches from above.

With the storm intensifying, the ground opens up beneath Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and the clip ends on a terrified Leanne (Jane Danson) as she finds herself face to face with a murderous Harvey.

"No one is safe," the trailer promises.

Producer Iain McLeod opened up about the new trailer: "ITV Creative have really set the scene for this incredible week with this promo.

"We set out to make a week of breathless, brilliant drama – and boy, have our outstanding cast, crew, design team and writers delivered!

"The week is jam-packed with twists and turns, and astonishing visual spectacle. It also has heart, heroism and humour in the most unexpected places. I have to say it again: our team has excelled themselves.

"Making any TV in a pandemic is hard, especially if you've been doing it non-stop for over 12 months – so I have to tip my hat to everyone for their tireless efforts in continuing to raise the bar, against all the odds."

Coronation Street’s deadly week of drama begins on Monday, October 18.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
