Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has revealed what Abi Franklin has in store for Corey Brent, as she vows to make him pay for killing her son Seb.

The first episode in tonight's double-bill (October 11) saw Abi (Sally Carman) return to Weatherfield after her brief stint away, which delighted former partner Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

Concerned, he asked her what she's been up to, and she reassured him that she didn't use the £2,000 she took to buy drugs like he might've expected. Instead, she said, she spent it on food and accommodation.

It didn't take long for viewers at home to realise that Abi's homecoming was less about her relationship with Kevin and more about her seeking revenge, though, as she met up with her ex, Seb's father Tez, and the latter handed her a gun.

"I hope it helps ya," Tez said, which led Abi to reply menacingly: "Oh, it will... Blasting Corey Brent's brains out of his skull is all I need."

In the second outing of the night, Kevin and his son Jack celebrated Abi being back in town by hanging a "welcome home" sign in the lounge. When she rocked up again, the pair requested that she promise she won't go running off again, but were left disappointed when she outright refused.

"I don't wanna make promises I can't keep," she explained to Kevin, after an upset Jack stormed off upstairs, clearly worried about what could happen to her if she does go on to kill Corey. "I did that to Seb, way too often. He spent half his way hoping I'd keep my word on one thing or another, and I didn't...".

Later, Debbie popped round to try and talk sense into Abi, and begged her to consider both Jack and Kevin's feelings if she's planning on skipping out on them again.

"You're lecturing me, after everything you've done wrong? I can't say anything for definite," Abi sobbed.

"Who can?! I know this is about Seb. Kev told me what you said, about making promises you can't keep," Debbie said. "Or is there something else going on? Look, I know we're not exactly best friends, but if there's anything you wanna tell me... anything I can help with...

"I can't pretend to understand. You either want to be here, or you don't. Make a decision. End of."

Will Abi go through with her plan after all?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
