Tyra Banks' Diva 'Demands' Rubbing 'DWTS' Crew The Wrong Way, Host Reportedly A 'Nightmare' On Set

After OK! spilled ratings for Dancing With the Stars are in a free fall, a source is squealing host Tyra Banks is a “nightmare” to work with.
The 47-year-old — who is currently in her second season as host of the ABC dancing competition series — is reportedly making “wild demands” on set and is “disrespectful to the crew,” an insider spilled to The Sun.
The supermodel’s alleged diva demands have contributed to a “toxic” work environment, the insider claimed, noting her “attitude” is rubbing the crew the wrong way.
Banks received criticism over what was considered a botched Britney Spears tribute episode last Monday, with many slamming her “bizarre outfits.”
“Last week she wore the Britney Spears pigtails, but all the producers said she looked like the horror movie doll Annabelle,” the source explained, adding: “They couldn’t get her to change.”

“The viewers hate Tyra, but ABC is locked with her so they are trying,” the source continued.
“Tensions are high in the ballroom. Between low ratings, COVID outbreaks and constant managing of the Tyra backlash, the producers are on edge about everything,” they declared. ‘I wouldn’t be shocked if this is the last season.”
As OK! previously reported, since the former America’s Next Top Model host took over for Tom Bergeron after he was ousted in 2020, ratings for DWTS have been in a slump.
The season 30 premiere two weeks ago was down nearly 33% from the previous year, and viewers slammed the Princess of Pop tribute episode as an “epic failure” as ratings reached a lower-than-normal level.
Although producers are worried and “disappointed” about the decrease in viewership, execs are hoping the model — who also serves as Executive Producer — can turn the already controversial season around in the coming weeks.
