Genie+ Will Not Sell Out for Any Day at Walt Disney World

Disney has announced that the new Genie+ program, the paid FastPass replacement, will not sell out “for any given day.” There will not be a limit on the number of guests allowed to purchase the service.

Guests will be able to purchase Genie+ at a rate of $15 per person per day. The service will allow them to reserve access times at attractions across the parks. Guests can select one attraction at a time throughout their day.

Genie+ launches on October 19. Check out our full list of attractions participating in the Genie+ program here.

  1. So…if everyone in the Park buys it…you are paying for a long wait comparable to a Standby Line? How is that gonna work!!!

    • I suspect that it won’t work. Having Genie+ doesn’t give you immediate access to rides, does it? I thought you had to select times to experience the attraction. What I suspect will happen, is the line won’t be super long, there just won’t be availability for everyone who buys Genie+. And because some things like Nemo will still be available, they’ll claim you still got what you paid for.

  2. But not selling out doesn’t mean there will be availability for rides. There were always FP for Nemo, but try to get one for Soarin day of.

  3. Well naturally they wouldn’t put a limit on it because that would limit the amount of money they could make…..not like they’re worrying about the paying customers experience at this point……this is not surprising

  4. Yeah, so the only open time for Slinky Dog Dash is before park close and that blocks me from getting a short wait on any other ride? Slick. Pass.
