The Portland Thorns announced today that Director of Goalkeeping Nadine Angerer has signed a multi-year contract extension. The former Thorns goalkeeper and German international signed the deal today and will begin her seventh season as part of the Thorns’ technical staff in 2022.
“Nadine has been essential for the Thorns,” said Thorns FC owner and CEO Merritt Paulson in the club’s press release. “She is a phenomenal coach, but well beyond that she is a leader and a culture builder. I am thrilled to announce this extension and when we transition from Mark Parsons to our next head coach in 2022, Nadine will be a key force of stability.
