Chicago Red Stars fall out of playoff position after losing goal packed thriller to OL Reign 3-2

The Chicago Red Stars now sit one spot outside the final NWSL playoff position, after dropping a 3-2, golazo-packed thriller to OL Reign Sunday night in Tacoma.

The match featured the first NWSL goal for Red Stars defender Tatumn Milazzo, who absolutely smashed a rebound into the right upper 90 from 25 yards out.

Reign’s Jess Fishlock and Rose Lavelle also crushed goals from outside the box. The win officially punched the Reign’s postseason ticket.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Here’s the good news for Chicago—they finish with two of the final three at home, and all three opponents currently sitting outside the playoff picture.
