Governor Phil Murphy has declined to rule out the possibility of mandating Covid-19 vaccines for eligible school students, saying he does not believe that he needs to put such a mandate into place at this time, but that he’s keeping the option open.
“I don’t anticipate that we’re going to need that, in terms of mandating kids,” Murphy said. “It’s an option we leave on the table.”
Murphy’s comments were in response to a question from a journalist who asked the governor whether New Jersey would follow in the footsteps of California, which recently mandated Covid-19 vaccines for all eligible students – despite teachers not being mandated to take the shot.
As of now, only teachers in New Jersey are required to be vaccinated against Covid-19, but students are required to wear masks while indoors.
He will do this the day after the election if he wins.
Can’t wait to get hundreds of annoying calls from vaad to vote for murphy again. Must be his stance on abortion or same sex marriage that they love.
Let’s vote the guy out, no vaccine mandates no covid restrictions, enough is enough. In California they failed to recall him and look at what he is imposing, vaccines for students who cant vote and dont fund campaigns, but none for teachers as they vote and have a union which funds his campaign and look the other facistic laws he is signing, banning gendered toy aisles in stores.

@Stevenn hopes the government mandates vaccines for everyone, masks forever, and lockdown again until there are zero cases for at least a month, Stevenn is a bit deranged and needs lots of help.
All of our SCHOOLS already implement vaccine mandates. Perhaps now is the reminder to ask mechilla from the Gedolim who have said such mandates are kneged daas Torah.
We should be able to decide what to do with our health, not the government.
@ tzadik. VERY well said! I personally vaccinate my kids. But we literally bought into this mandate thingy.. Just like they did in mitzrayim pre-shibud, except shevet Levi, who saw what paroih was up to! History repeats itself, it’s our job to learn from histories mistakes.
Vote them all out! Democrats at every level must be defeated. Republicans are no saints, but democrats are pure evil…..
