It’s always a treat when artists upload their full live sets. We don’t often see that from one of our all-time favorite artists, Tycho, but last week the San Francisco-based artist uploaded his entire DJ set from Red Rocks earlier this year to SoundCloud. It’s an hour and a half of pure sonic bliss from Tycho, rinsing an eclectic selection of melodic and funky sounds.
While Tycho may be hailed for his downtempo chops, he gets into some really dancey vibes during this set. He goes from worldly bangers from the likes of Daphni (aka Caribou) to the classic house sounds from Todd Terje and somehow ends up at the futuristic voyages of Com Truise. His live shows will always be incredible, but we’d love to hear some more DJ sets from Tycho like this.
This performance occurred over the summer during an opening set for STS9 while on their Sky Tour. Tycho was enlisted for the direct support slot alongside Chrome Sparks.
