The iOS 15.0.2 update is currently available as an over-the-air download in the Settings app. The update carries a build number of 19A404.

According to Apple's release notes, the updates address several issues, including bugs in the Find My app that prevented the iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe or AirTag from connecting or appearing in the app. Additionally, the update fixes a bug that could lead to an iPhone removing Photos that were saved to a user's library from Messages if the corresponding thread was deleted.

Other addresses issues include CarPlay failing to open audio apps, or device restorations failing when using Finder or iTunes on the iPhone 13

Apple's latest iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 update comes about a week after the company issued iOS 15.0.1, which contained fixes for a number of bugs on the new iPhone 13 lineup. On Oct. 8, Apple stopped signing the base version of iOS 15.

The company is also currently working on iOS 15.1, a more significant update to iOS 15 that will introduce verifiable Covid-19 vaccine records in the Wallet app and lossless audio for the HomePod and HomePod mini.

How about fixing the App Store bug where size of pending updates while on cellular service are not correct.  Has been this way for long time.

iPad OS 15 made my 10.5” iPad Pro (A10X fusion processor) noticeably jittery, performing worse than my iPad 2 did with some software, and I’m still hoping that as they revise it the performance will improve, but this release doesn’t solve the problem. If anybody is holding out to avoid this kind of issue, you should probably keep waiting unless you have other reasons that merit the trade-off.

I’m mostly pissed at HKSV no longer working. And their support just walks you through turning stuff off and on again and logging out and back into iCloud. Fixes nothing and then your device spends an eternity getting photos, email, etc in sync again…

I have the same model, but without knowing what apps you’re referring to I can’t say whether there is a wider issue with this particular iPad Pro. I did discover that the Apple News app was seriously draining the iPad's battery while it was running in the background. Once I stopped News from running in the background the battery drain situation improved significantly.

I’m still a little suspicious about Apple’s Private Relay (beta) feature and what impact it may be having on connected performance. Has anyone seen any performance evaluations related to Private Relay?

Well, I’ve been holding my breath until this update! Nobody has been talking enough about the 0-days unearthed 19 days ago. This update must be installed as soon as possible as it disables the Game Center sandbox escape. I’m baffled Apple Insider is not mentioning it.
So if you head to https://github.com/illusionofchaos/ios-gamed-0day
and install the app demonstrating the Game Center 0-day by showing you all your contacts, you will notice that installing iOS 15.0.2 make the demo app crash. This is because Apple finally fixed the issue with the gamed xpc service. Now instead you get a crash with the following error: “ [GKAuthenticateResponse credential]: unrecognized selector sent to instance…”
Why did it take so long for Apple to fix? And why did Apple Insider stay so quiet?
Anyway, now we can finally breath normally and update iOS as well as all the apps on your phone. As with the two other 0-days, I have no clue if they are squashed, I will let another researcher confirm that.

Apple doesn’t have unlimited resources to react instantaneously to every issue. Unless you have full visibility into their backlog and status of all release streams it’s hard to know exactly when a very specific issue is going to pop out of the delivery process. Yes, they’d like to be able to move even more quickly, and they would if the could. But overreacting to incoming issues could lead to protracted thrashing where nothing gets released because work in process is constantly getting interrupted for the next incoming threat. Yeah, it’s a risk that something lingers too long in an unmitigated state, but they are doing triage and are trying to reprioritize while still keeping the releases flowing.

I’m pretty sure that if there’s someone out there who could help Apple and every other ISV on the planet do a better job of balancing multiple priorities in real time while contending for the same resources they’ll have a very well paid job for life. Sunday afternoon quarterbacking is a hell of a lot harder than Monday morning quarterbacking.

This isn’t an excuse, it’s just the reality of the situation.

Odd that these was no mention of this update addressing a CVE - see About the security content of iOS 15.0.2 and iPadOS 15.0.2 - Apple Support
    From Apple's article:
Impact: An application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.
