Kylian Mbappe partnered with Karim Benzema for France to lead them to the Nations League, leaving Real Madrid fans to manifest the same happening at club level.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward was linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium during the entirety of the summer transfer window and it finally looked like the dream transfer would take place in the final week of the transfer period in August. However, PSG had other ideas and rejected bids from Real Madrid which were supposedly up to 220 million euros for Mbappe.

The player, in a candid interview, mentioned that he wanted to leave Paris Saint-Germain for only Real Madrid this summer and was very vocal about the French club’s ill-treatment of the World Cup winner. By the looks of the interview, he has completely ruled out an extension of his contract and a move to Real Madrid beckons sooner rather than later, though he did not directly mention it.

While PSG risked losing 220 million euros for him during the summer, they still have an opportunity of cashing upon Mbappe during the winter transfer window and could be open to discussing something in January. Given how complex the transfer of Mbappe was always going to be, here are three reasons why he might arrive in the January window itself.
