Kanye West reportedly wasn’t laughing at one “Saturday Night Live” joke that writers wanted to include on the program this past weekend.
The “Gold Digger” rapper, 44, allegedly ordered his estranged wife Kim Kardashian — who hosted the sketch show — “not to joke about an old tweet calling Kris Jenner a ‘white supremacist,'” the Sun reported.
However, multiple “SNL” insiders are now calling those claims bunk — but more on that later.
Background: West posted the tweet in question last summer, while he was battling bipolar disorder.
“White supremacy at its highest no cap,” West tweeted on July 28, 2020, beneath a screenshot of unanswered text messages sent to mother-in-law Jenner.
“This Ye. You ready to talk now. Or are you still avoiding my calls,” the musician wrote to Jenner, 65, in one message.
“This Ye. You wanna talk. Or go to war?” West then sent in a follow-up text.
“SNL” writers allegedly wanted to reference the tweet in a “People’s Kourt” sketch, which featured Kardashian playing her sister Kourtney as a judge.
“Originally the ‘People’s Kourt’ sketch had more aggressive tweets Kanye had posted,” a source told the Sun.
“The writers wanted to include some from last summer, like calling Kim and Kris white supremacists, but Kim shut that down. Kris and Kanye agreed.”
Reps for West did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment on the new claims. “SNL” spokespeople declined to comment on the matter. However, a production insider told The Post the reports are “not true.”
“There was never even a discussion or proposal about there being any reference to any old Kris Jenner tweet in the sketch,” another “SNL” source said. “He provided no input whatsoever in regards to any sketches or got in the way in the creative process of what ‘SNL’ and Kim wanted to do.”
Kardashian’s hosting debut on Saturday night’s show was praised by fans and provided a ratings boost for the program.
The episode drew in 3.8 million viewers, Deadline reported, up from the 3.5 million it garnered when Owen Wilson hosted the week before.
And while Kardashian allegedly nixed the joke about Kanye’s “white supremacist” tweet, she still poked fun at him in her opening monologue.
“I married the best rapper of all time. Not to mention the richest black person in America,” she stated.
“We also have four amazing kids, which is why when I divorced him, it came down to just one thing — his personality,” she quipped.
Meanwhile, she also mocked her ex’s run for president.
Kardashian teased her own run for political office before dropping the punchline: “I’m not running for president — we can’t have three failed politicians in one family,” referencing West’s presidential bid and her ex-step-parent Caitlyn Jenner’s run for governor of California.
