K-pop fans were left enraged and surprised after Oliver Tree's issue resurfaced.

For what it's worth, the American singer used the K-pop idol's funeral picture and photoshopped himself onto it to promote his Goodbye Farewell Tour in 2019. At that time, he took down the post after a surge of backlashes from K-pop fans happened.

However, he reportedly never issued a proper apology over his deed.

On October 11, Jonghyun's fans gathered online to express their anger altogether as they demanded an apology from Oliver Tree.

As translated by AllKpop, the fans mainly slammed the singer for using Jonghyun's photo as if it was a stock picture. They also accused him of using someone's trauma to make fun of himself and entertain his fans.

One fan said, "K-Pop fan or not, regardless of his nationality, how could a human being be this inconsiderate?"

"Every single time when something like this happens, they say they didn't mean it and we're overreacting. I'm sick and tired of people using someone else's trauma for their clout," another wrote.

As of the writing, Oliver Tree still has not posted a statement to address the issue. However, K-pop fans bombarded his social media accounts with phrases and words to remind him to apologize.

Not long after the issue happened, MTV posted an article about the singer's ending after he himself said he was done with music.

While the fans wait for Oliver Tree's apology, Jonghyun's last wish also appeared months before his death anniversary.

In February, SHINee's Key shared a photo of a soju bottle with the K-pop group's famous line SHINee's Back printed on it. He also shared several images to confirm the collaboration between them and Jinro Soju.

One year before Jonghyun's death, he posted on Twitter how her sister showed him Shinhwa merchandise. At that time, her sister asked whether SHINee could have their beer glass already, but the singer predicted that it would happen 10 years later.

After the old tweet came out again, fans tearfully told the late singer he no longer needed to wait for 10 years before SHINee could have the same merchandise.
