Boston won Game 3 on Christian Vazquez's walk-off homer in the bottom of the 13th, a half-inning after a controversial ground rule double call prevented the Rays from scoring the go-ahead run. Tampa Bay had rallied to tie the game 4-4 in the eighth inning, but nobody would score again until Vazquez's two-run shot.
