Nick Saban made Trevon Diggs cry at Alabama. Now, Diggs is one of the NFL's best cornerbacks.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs has become one of the best in the NFL, with a league-leading six interceptions through five games.

However, he came to Alabama as a wide receiver, like his brother, Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and was moved to defense by Nick Saban, a move Diggs disagreed with at the time.

"I was hurt at first," Diggs said after the Cowboys' 37-20 win over the New York Giants Sunday. "I called my brother, I was crying. He's not someone that'll be like 'Oh, it's okay.' He was like, 'Nah, come on. Let's go. We got to go to work.' He's one of those types. And that's exactly what I did."

Ultimately, Diggs was grateful to move to defensive back, and he thankeSaban for the move.

"You know, I just sucked it up and got back to work," Diggs said. "And I thank Saban for that. He said the league looks for corners with my body type, tall, long, and that's pretty much it. That's how he sold me."

Diggs played at Alabama from 2016-19, winning a national championship as a sophomore and being named First-Team All-SEC as a senior. He was drafted by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft.
