Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady suffered a thumb injury on his throwing hand during Sunday’s 45-17 win over the Miami Dolphins, but he never came out of the game, and it doesn’t look like something that will keep him from playing Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Brady had the injury wrapped after Blaine Gabbert replaced him in the fourth quarter of the blowout victory, but both he and Bruce Arians dismissed any indication that the injury was serious after the game.
Indeed, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirms that Brady’s injury is not expected to threaten his availability for Tampa Bay’s next game, despite the short week:
#Bucs QB Tom Brady, who was spotted with his hand in ice during the game, is dealing with a thumb injury that should be good for Thursday night vs. the #Eagles, source said.

It certainly didn’t seem to bother Brady on Sunday, as he carved up the Dolphins defense to the tune of 411 yards and five touchdowns with no turnovers.
