The Costco Auto Program Savings Event has just added popular Chevrolet models to its list of vehicles that it can help buyers find a fair deal on. The Costco Auto Program launched its fall promotion with Chevrolet starting October 1st. The program runs through Jan. 3, 2022. In a nutshell, Costco members can take advantage of a $1,000 member-only incentive on eligible large and midsize trucks and SUVs.

Models included in the program include the top-selling Chevrolet model of all, the Silverado 1500. The Silverado 2500 HD and Silverado 3500 HD are also included. Other Chevrolet models included in this program include the Colorado, Tahoe, Suburban, Blazer, Trailblazer, Traverse, and Equinox.

Since dealer markups are the story of the day, we reached out to the Costco Auto Program’s spokesperson to find out if this discount would apply in a scenario where a dealer was marking up a vehicle above the MSRP. Corporate Communications Director, Costco Auto Program, Honey Mae Kenworthy, replied, “Definitely. The incentive can be applied to vehicles that have market adjustments. It’s also stackable with manufacturer incentives. And, if the member elects to go through a Costco Auto Program Approved Dealer, it’s stackable with our prearranged Costco member price and manufacturer incentives.”

One tip Torque News always offers to shoppers is to be sure to include the destination or delivery fee in the total price of the vehicle they are pricing. To its credit, Chevy often rolls that price right into the price that they advertise. Dealers may opt to handle that a different way.
