CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was taken to a local hospital following Sunday's overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Burrow was evaluated for a throat contusion after he had trouble speaking. He obviously did not hold a press conference with the media after the game.

The Bengals lost to the Packers 25-22 in overtime.

Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase said he talked with Burrow after the game, but was unaware he was taken to the hospital.

"I don't know anything that is going on with Joe honestly," said Chase. "I wish I did know, but I don't have an answer for that."

Chase said he didn't think Burrow had trouble speaking when the two talked.

"I don't think he was, no," said Chase. "Just talking about the game and how we could have got better. We played a helluva game honestly. We were just talking about we just have to let this game go. We played our hearts out."

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor on Monday said Burrow checked out fine in examinations and was released from the hospital Sunday night.
