Sunny and Windy Weather Will Keep Fire Officials Wary Monday

A wind advisory has been issued from 1 p.m. Monday afternoon to 6 a.m. Tuesday as a low-pressure front brings gusty north winds and cooler weather in the low 70’s across the area through tonight, Nation Weather Service forecasters said.

The combination of winds and low humidities will bring elevated to brief critical fire weather conditions across much of Southwest California from late Monday morning through Monday night.

A warming trend will establish for the remainder of the week, NWS said.

Pasadena will be spared damaging winds but be buffeted by 15 to 20 mph gusts in the afternoon and evening. Tonight’s low will sink to 50.

Warmer temps will kick in again Thursday, according to the NWS.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 72. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 71. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming north northeast after midnight.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 73. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 49.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 76.

Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 52.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 85.

Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 54.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 79.
