St. Joseph police say a woman drove herself to the Mosaic Life
Care emergency room early this morning, suffering a single gunshot wound
to the leg.

Police say the woman arrived at the ER around 5:18 this
morning with what appears, at least preliminarily, to be a moderate wound.

The woman, who has not been identified, told police she could
not identify the shooter.

Police believe the shooting took place in the 5500 block
of Valley View Drive.
