Barkley and several of his Giants teammates sustained injuries during a 44-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in Arlington, Texas. Barkley sustained an ankle injury in the first quarter and did not return.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and wide receiver Kenny Golladay also left the game early. Jones sustained a concussion in the second quarter. Golladay hyperextended his knee in the first quarter.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and linebacker Lavonte David, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Arizona Cardinals tight end Maxx Williams, Jacksonville Jaguars center Brandon Linder and Kansas City Chiefs teammates Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Tyreek Hill, Joe Thuney and Travis Kelce were among the other players injured in Week 5.

More details about the injuries and potential timelines for the players to return will be made available Monday after additional examinations of the damage.

Wilson underwent surgery on his injured right middle finger Friday in Los Angeles. He sustained two injuries to the finger in the fourth quarter of the Seahawks' 26-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday in Seattle.

Sources told ESPN, NFL Network and Sports Illustrated that Wilson could miss from four to eight weeks due to the injuries.

Barkley's injury was one of the most gruesome to watch Sunday, as his left ankle swelled on the sideline and he was carted to the locker room. Sources told NFL Network, SNY and ESPN that he sustained a low-ankle sprain and he is "week to week."

Golladay told reporters about his hyperextension. He is expected to get an MRI on Monday.

Brady injured his right thumb early in the Buccaneers' Week 5 win over the Miami Dolphins. He stayed in the game and threw for 411 yards and five touchdowns. He isn't expected to miss any time.

Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians told reporters Sunday that David sustained a high-ankle sprain.

Williams was carted off the field due to a lower right leg injury he sustained in the second quarter of the Cardinals 17-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Glendale, Ariz. Williams, who took an ugly hit to his right knee, is expected to get additional scans this week to determine the extent of the injury.

Jaguars coach Urban Meyer told reporters that Linder sustained ankle and MCL injuries in a loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla.

Edwards-Helaire sustained a knee injury and was carried off the field by teammates in the third quarter of the Chiefs' loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in Kansas City, Mo. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Thuney sustained a broken hand. Hill sustained an unspecified knee injury and Kelce sustained a stinger.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster sustained a right shoulder injury in a win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Smith-Schuster was taken to a local hospital to get the shoulder evaluated. Sources told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and NFL Network that the injury is considered major and could end Smith-Schuster's season.
