According to recent reports, Liverpool have joined Manchester City and Manchester United in the race for Brugge striker Charles de Ketelaere.

De Ketelaere is starting attract a lot of attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The 20-year-old took part in Belgium's third place game against Italy this week. They lost 2-1 but de Ketelaere scored his debut goal for his country.

In the Belgian First Division A this season, the 20-year-old has started to make a name for himself, scoring four goals and getting two assists in 10 games.

The 6'2 striker can also play other positions, from a makeshift winger to playing in an attacking midfield role.

Premier League Interest

Manchester City have already been linked with Brugge's de Ketelaere ahead of their Champions League game with them next week, but they're not the only Premier League clubs interested in him.

According to Fichajes (via the Daily Express), Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester have all joined the race for the Belgium striker.

LFC Transfer Room Verdict

The source is a bit of an iffy one but it could be true. Liverpool seem genuinely interested in signing a striker next season and he could be a solid option.

He can play multiple positions and he suits the mould of a 'target man' that Liverpool have been linked with a lot.

He also has bundles of potential and if we beat other Premier League clubs to him then that's just a bonus.
