Grade Joe Burrow’s performance vs. Packers

The Cincinnati Bengals faced off with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday for a chance to move to 4-1 on the season.

After a rough start for both teams offensively, the Bengals were able to put together a 10 play 51-yard drive to take a 7-0 lead on a TD pass to Samaje Perine.

The Packers quickly answered with a 75-yard drive to make it a 7-6 ballgame after a missed PAT.

With the Bengals trailing 16-7, Joe Burrow got the ball with just over a minute left before halftime. On 2^nd down, Burrow hit Ja’Marr Chase for a 70-yard touchdown to make it 16-14 at the break.

Early in the 4^th quarter, the Bengals got the ball tailing 22-14. Burrow led a 75-yard drive over the next eight minutes as Joe Mixon punched it in for the touchdown. Burrow then hit Tee Higgins for the two-point conversion to make it 22-22.

Then, the missed kicks started.

The Packers missed a field goal giving the Bengals the ball with just over a minute to play. Burrow set up Evan McPherson for a 57-yarder for the win, but he hit the upright.

That was followed by another missed FG from the Packers, sending this game into overtime.

The Bengals got the ball first, and on the first play, Burrow threw an interception to set the Packers up for a 40-yard FG attempt for the win. However, Mason Crosby missed again, and the Bengals had another shot.

Burrow once again drove the Bengals down the field and set up McPherson for a 49-yard field goal for the win. Unfortunately, he missed it once again.

The Packers would go on to get back into field goal range and this time Crosby drills it to give the Packers a 25-22 win.

It was a roller coaster day for Burrow as he had some brilliant moments, and some head-scratching throws. He finished 26/38 for 281 yards, two TDs, and two interceptions.
