It's my all-time favorite and I've had the privilege to taste each one of these pumpkin pies from each one of these fabulous places in Ocean County.

Every year around this time I like checking in to see where is the "best" pumpkin pie in Ocean County. Fall is here and everything pumpkin spice and everything nice, especially my pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin pie is so special for me. It's not just a delicious dessert, it has so much meaning, at least in my family. It was my Dad's all-time favorite. It was a tradition that he always got the first slice and he put the whipped cream on everybody's pie for the holidays. Since Dad passed three years ago, we keep the tradition going with my Mom. She never loved pumpkin, but now she enjoys it and squirts that whipped cream on everyone's pumpkin pie. We always say, "For you, Dad."

WOW, over 50 million pumpkin pies are baked every year, I had no idea. The largest pumpkin was five feet around and used 80 pounds of pumpkin and needed to be baked for six hours before ready to be eaten. Who knew, this is funny - one out of five Americans have eaten an entire pumpkin pie by themselves.

The world's largest pumpkin pie weighed well over 350 pounds with 80 pounds of pumpkin and 36 pounds of sugar. Pumpkin pie is extremely popular in America and Canada.

I like my pumpkin pie warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. If I really want a delicious taste, I'll pull out the chocolate sauce.
