Whilst Pepe Reina’s deal will automatically extend for a year should Lazio qualify for European competition, Strakosha’s contract is much more in doubt, with negotiations still ongoing.

The Italian veteran’s contract expires with Sassuolo next year and so he’ll be available to sign on a free transfer. The player is an experienced and reliable shot stopper who is good with the ball at his feet.
