NFL opening lines for Week 6, Packers road favorites for second straight week

DraftKings has less confidence in next week’s Bears than last week’s Bengals.

Despite their less-than-stellar path to their 4-1 record, DraftKings has named the Green Bay Packers one of the biggest road favorites in Week 6. Last week, the Packers were one of three teams who were named road favorites when DraftKings’ opening lines dropped, and like the Rams and Saints, Green Bay was able to pull through for the win.

This week, the Packers will travel to Soldier Field where they’ll face the 3-2 Chicago Bears and their first-round rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who has a season-long stat line of 37-of-72 passing for 458 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and 59 yards on the ground. In Fields’ three starts, with a week of preparation before facing an opponent, he has thrown 57 passes for 388 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, though, the Chicago Bears have won their last two games by a combined score of 44-23 against the winless Detroit Lions and the now 3-2 Las Vegas Raiders.

Entering this week, only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7 at the Philadelphia Eagles) and the Los Angeles Rams (+10.5 at the New York Giants) are heavier road favorites than the Green Bay Packers in Week 6, who are favored over Chicago by 4.5 points. With a total set at 46, the book roughly projected a Packers win by a score around 25-21. Green Bay’s money line is set at -210, which carries the implied odds that the Packers will win against the Bears with 68 percent confidence. For reference, that number was 66 percent on the road against Bengals at this time last week.
