Last weekend Kim Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time and she *really* delivered the goods. In her opening monologue, she managed to throw shade at her ex-husband, Kanye West, by saying she divorced him because of his personality (wow); trolled her sister Kourtney for her “judginess”; and err, kissed Pete Davidson while dressed as Princess Jasmine. As. You. Do.
In amongst all the drama, Kim also treated us to some serious lewks, and there was one in particular that really caught our eye. Opening the show, Kim wore a hot-pink, crushed velvet bodysuit with a turtleneck and built-in gloves. ICYMI, here’s a little peek at the look:
Kim has debuted some pretty ~ experimental ~ looks lately (we’re living for it), and in the build-up to her SNL appearance she deffo took it up a notch. Her colour of choice? The hottest of hot-pink of course.
On 7 October, while making her way to an SNL rehearsal, Kim stepped out in a hot-pink Balenciaga blazer-coat, with a high collar and razor-sharp shoulder pads. She accessorised the look with a pair of Balenciaga’s infamous ‘pantaleggings’, pink gloves, and a rhinestone-encrusted Hourglass bag.
Kim then wore a similar ensemble on 9 October on her way to the SNL performance. This time she opted for a pair of Balenciaga pantaleggings in holographic silver, an oversized Balenciaga puffer coat in (you guessed it) hot pink, and an enormous pair of diamond-encrusted earrings.
Are you ready for the dramatic finale? After Kim’s hugely successful SNL appearance, she headed to the afterparty wearing a pink, spandex catsuit, with a gigantic, ruffled cloak wrapped around her shoulders. All in Balenciaga, naturally.
